SCR CWMA, Inc. was recently awarded $6,400.00 for noxious weed control efforts during 2008-2009. The funding comes from the Nevada Department of Agriculture and United States Forest Service Private and State Forest Grants. Additionally we received an extension of our 2007 NDOA grant to continue treatment of the SCA Campground and Rifle Range.
With the 2008-2009 grant we plan to implement a cost share program for
landowners, continue an early detection and rapid response program, provide
equipment and chemicals to individual property owners, send newsletters and help
with the salary of a seasonal employee for the Spring Creek Association.
